Selera Hari Isnin, Feb 28, 2011 (Radi's Corner, USJ4)

I had made arrangements for Sheereen to pick me up and take me to the doctor again today.  I made the arrangements on Saturday last week.  Before hand, she had told me that her two younger girls will be with her since they had schooled on Saturday, today they'd be off-school.  The doctor prescribed me the same medications for another week.  And since Im planning to be at my hometown, I thot, ok.  Right after the doctor, we went for lunch at Radi's Corner, USJ4 and hung out for a while.  So these are today's menu for all of us.

As usual, when I go for all vege on most on my meals whenever I have my foot outside.  I had pucuk ubi masak lemak, kangkung goreng belacan, terung cili, and of course, tempe masak sambal (with suhun here). 

I didnt take the pic of the drinks tho.  I had teh o limau suam as usual and took all my tablets in one go.  Alhamdulillah I feel so much better today.

This was Sheereen's meal.  She went for Nasi Ayam.  Perhaps in the future I shall try.  Looks yummy with the soup and the chili and all that.

Selera Hari Ahad, Feb 27, 2011 (My Taste Warung SS13, SJ)

Atif came home later than normal today and urged me to get ready for he is hungarian and he had said let's find somewhere close to our house to eat.  So we tried the stalls we had always noticed on the left side of the road as we come from Sunway before we reach our roundabout to go home.  

It's a little Uptown on its own with mini stalls on the side for stuffs like Laksa Penang, Barbequed chicken wings, Otak-otak, Rojak Buah and the main stall even had its own Ikan Bakar stuff that includes Kerang Rebus or Kerang Bakar.  The portion is small to begin with but to Atif it was just fine for dinner.  Dinner is not suppose to be heavy anyway.  Initially I just ordered Kue Teow Bandung since I dont know what to eat, but after the Otak-otak came, I cancelled my order.  

 If it was at Uptown, a basket of Otak-otak usually comes in 5 pieces for the first round. And each costs 80sen.  Elsewhere I have tasted the stalls next to Giant Mall, each costs 70sen but the taste was not as good as the Uptown's.

But here, each costs 70sen but the taste is as good as Uptown's and they come in a good 10 pieces per serving.  I had all these to myself!

The only setback at this new place is that, Atif's food didnt come on time or as fast as mine was served.  I had honestly finished all my 10 pieces and still his food has not come.

Here is his plain water that came as Ais Kosong and as usual I had my teh o limau panas which came with lemon squeezed inside the tea instead of the normal lime. So yes, no seeds in this and even after I had asked for more 'limau' Atif's food is not here yet.

Right after I put up a question, when will Atif's food arrive, it came.  Rice is 1.50, Omelette is 2 and this small portion of Daging Merah is 3.50 which total out Atif's dinner alone at RM7.

Atif felt like, wow, rice is 1.50 why so expensive.  I told him, what is cheap now. Sugar is already 2.10/kg.  All groceries are going up. Even petrol that we dont drink but the car and the bike do, has gone up, what else is new? Tell me..

I came home and finished these last bit of kai lan I had in the fridge. Bored with sautee-ing them the normal way with soya sauce, I steam-ed the vege first.  Then I made the sambal with chicken and just  toss the vege in later.

Tastes quite good actually. Oh well, to my liking that is.  Atif may find it a little hot for his own tongue.  But knowing me, who fails miserably to all his food that is nothing but curry curry and curry, so, sorilah bang.. You'd have to cook your own meals.

Selera Hari Jumaat 25, 2011 (Tasty Pot, Sunway Mentari)

Atif is not a steamboat person. He is also not a seafood person.  The only seafood thing that he eats and crave about is just prawns.  Sikit2 bole le makan kerang sejak aku ajar makan kerang rebus kat Uptown tu. Tp semlm since kwn dia Jawad ada datang from Oman so Atif ajak aku yg tengah sakit tengkuk, leher, vertigo, belakang telinga kiri ni, gi makan kat Tasty Pot Steamboat in Sunway. 

Penah pegi kat another place in Sunway ni when we were invited by Atif's friend, John Yahya (Atif's gym friend) and Jordan (Atif's another gym friend) and a few other friends some time last year. Yg hangin tu, tak penah pulak check HALAL sign and semalam makan mcm nak rak. Today masa nak buat posting ni, dok cari gambar the place, and noticed that they have 'pork balls' so hangin la makcik kejap kan.. Even though none of us touched the processed food section, still...

Straight way I called Atif and told him off, akan datang, no more places WITHOUT the HALAL logo. Ok? Here are some pics that I found on the net from other people's blog of where we ate semalam.

Kalu ikutkan mmg aku nak ajak makan kat Johnny's aje tp Atif kata, John Yahya kata, kat Tasty Pot ni ada lamb grill.. tp smlm nengok nipis nipis aje lambnya.. aku buat steak pun lagi tebal dari kat sini.. sigh..  Anyway, Atif left me at about 7pm and I waited here at Tasty Pot while he went to pick up Jawad.  Only after I saw his sight then I ordered the drinks.

I ordered 1 pot of chinese tea (hot) and they give me a small basin of ice to go along the hot tea.  Tea ni mahal nak mampus. Sampai 7 hengget.

Tuesday, I didnt go anywhere.  Today, Ilah (Halilah Abd Halim) my classmate during MGS (Methodist Girls School) in Melaka came to visit.  She took me to the bank so that I can take out some money to pay the duely bills.  We had lunch at Jombali Carrefour Subang.  We both had hot lemon tea and kuey teow cantonese.

We talked and talked as if there's no end.  So many things to catch up, upload, download, delete, retrieve etc etc from our memory box.  Cakap puye cakap smpi ingatkan Ilah, suh tukar ke hp baru yg anak dia Aiman dah suruh pakai. Hehe..

I didnt expect to receive this chicken curry like 10.30am okay.. But Sharahaha's mom, sent this via Shaziq and her maid. Alhamdulillah.

I didnt eat straight away. Waited for Atif. But he took it to work instead. Alhamdulillah. Dpt gak merasa sikit.

Due to the vertigo that had not actually gotten any better, Atif took me to the doctor on Monday. Just went to Klinik Keluarga Lee, my normal GP.  Told her the problem of this vertigo and that my world had been spinning and I felt the whole world is so spongy to me.  She was quite mad at me for I had sit on it for 4 days.  She prescribed me Tanakan and Sturgeon.  Nothing but bed rest.  Sharahah told me she'd like to have dinner with me.  So we had dinner at Papa Rich at SS15/8. So called kopitiam. I totally dont get it la apa yang orang kemaruk sgt makan kat kopitiam ni. Harga tak murah. Makanan biasa2 aje, bole carik kat warung, tp harga, mak ai.. Sigh.. Oh well, with no appetite and wanting something soupy.. So I decided to have this..

Ipoh Koay Teow Soup with Prawn & Chicken.

Atif had nasi lemak with chicken coz there was no choice as there were no nasi lemak served with beef.  And that very nite, Atif dok spedo Shaziq after knowing from Sha, he is sooo picky on his food.  Shaziq has talent.  In swimming and can go far for his studies, if only he puts more effort.  Parents so busy working to find money to give them good life. Pity Sharahah and Sharil.  Parents can do so much.  Tapi anak2 skrg ni.. entahlah..

Alahai laki ku ini.. makin menjadi2 pulak kemaruk mengidam dia nih.. Arini nak makan satay pulak.. So we went to Uptown for Satay Kajang Haji Samuri.

Entah apa le angin dah masuk dlm laki ku ini. Aku yg period, dia yg komain kemaruk mengidam sana sini. Arini aku tak sehat gila. Blackout spasms due to severe migraine.  Atif pulak pepagi dah kuar attending to his Pakistani friend visiting from Oman and he came back about 5pm. He slept for awhile and bangun2 aje terus ajak aku gi makan durian. Mula-mua kita pusing le kat Sunway tp budak tu tada, so we headed to SS2 near his gym. Sigh.. Aku yg period dia komain mengidam manjang..
