I am so sick of my Lawyer Hilmy's crazy-ness about spaghetti if not mee mamak.  So Atif and I decided to treat him to naan and tandoori at Pak Putra Restaurant at Taman Kota Laksamana in Malacca.  Enjoy the pictures. 

We ordered Saag (blended spinach)

CNY 2011 Baking to De-Stress

Friday, Feb 4, 2011. Second day of CNY. Baking for fun with mom. Enjoy the pictures. Sebabkan baking di rumah mama di Melaka, tepaksa la decorate ikut selera mama. Hehe..

Selera Hari Khamis, Feb 3, 2011 (Makan Malam aka Dinner)

I reached Malacca at about 6pm due to 3 long traffic jams on the North-South Highway.  I put my things at the house before I went to pick mama at Mami Ema's house ans supposedly, Mami Guy too to see Lawyer Hilmy.  Yet, Mami Guy couldnt make it so we went, just me, Atif and mom.  We didnt expect Ahmad to be there but we all had dinner there.  Enjoy the pictures.

My bihun curry came in such a big bowl! Yang cinonet sebelah tu sambal to go along with the Nyonya Curry Laksa tau.

Atif and I were supposed to drive back to Melaka the very Thursday of CNY but I was skeptical with my so-called repaired radiator.  So we waited for my lawyer to come and convoy with us back to Malacca. While waiting, Atif wanted an omelette so here it is. 

Just 3 eggs (I used telur ayam kampung - beli kat pasar malam), beat with onions, cili ijau sikit (which tak nampak langsung here) and shredded some oyster mushroom too.  Oh, and not to forget, 2 slices of cheese and sikit garam.

Ai Sha (Echa)'s Order of Cuppies for Early Feb 2011.

Ai Sha or Echa as I fondly call her during our diploma days way back in the 90s started ordering my cuppies last year.  I sent it to her at Bangsar Village 2 one rainy night with Atif.  The first order that came from Echa was for an office function she claimed.  Here she is ordering again.  Early Feb ni katanya for CNY hols nak bawak balik kampung for makan makan aje. Mid Feb again for hantaran. Love you Echa.

Echa memang selalu order cuma 35 pieces aje. Tapi bila kita bake, always setengah kilo or 500gram of tepung kan.. mmg le dpt lebih kan.. so inilah lebihnya.. cups yg Extra Small or XS ni mmg buat 10 (or 11 kalu adjust betul betul) dlm transparent box ni.  Here are cuppies I topped with Strawberry Ganache.  Kaler dia pink sbb guna strawberry chips  Masa ni belum decorate.

First box.

Yang kaler orange tu is Orange Ganache.  Using Orange chips. For a first-timer using other chips besides chocolate or white chips, I think I need more practice though.  Hehe..

2nd box.

Ni mmg totally one box with just Orange Ganache.  I really need to perfect my ganache skills la.  This time buat, tak buat atas dapur unlike the usual chocolate ganache over the fire on the stove.  To me, not so berjaya. Must practice lagi.

3rd box. 

Box yg ni campur2 chocolate ganache and orange ganache. Masa ni pun belum decorate.

4th box. 

Strawberry ganache with little hearts.

Entah kenapa hari ini, Atif kena kija syif pagi. Starts from 6.30am to 1pm. Patutnya awal bulan 1-15 afternoon shifts which starts 2-10pm. Atif himself did some workout, bearing in mind, nak balik Melaka for CNY, so he came home abt 3pm after he had taken his lunch outside.  Me, busy with baking Ayu's order.  As usual Atif sleeps for a while and sblm Maghrib dia bangun and I told him I want him to follow me to DJ to pick up some DVDs from a friend. So off we went.  

Sebenarnya, tengahari lagi Atif dah calling2 nak ajak movie la, nak ajak makan kat Uptown la sbb half day kan.. But since Im busy with baking he slept and right after taking the DVDs we went straight to Uptown. Sbb aku dah pegi ari Selasa and tau kedai cina rojak yg biasa kita makan suma tutup, aku ajak Atif makan Sate Kajang Haji Samuri sebelah menyebelah Village Park tu.  So here are the photos of Selera Hari Rabu ye...

Mula2 order, budak tu datang and ask what we want. We ordered satay lembu 15, ayam 5, ketupat, bawang timun, and air satu aje, teh o limau panas. Bila dah amik order, gi byr terus and gi amik kuah and ketupat timun segala.

Ha ni la bil utk dua org makan. Not bad la. Rasa2 dah a few times gak makan kat sini..

Lama jugak nak nunggu satay's nak nyampai.. 5 cucuk ayam ni mmg for me alone, and another 5 cucuk lembu.  Atif mmg standard la 10 cucuk satay lembu dia sorang.  Somehow, we both felt, satay dia makin kecik pulak this time.  

Anyways, aku bersyukur kerana di beri nikmat makan oleh Allah.  

Kang dibuatnya duit banyak, selera tada dan tak dapat menikmati makanan walaupun sedap tak guna jugak kan.
